Great Britain Online Gambling Revenue Falls 2% to £1.5bn in Q4 2025

The UK Gambling Commission has suspended the operating licence of Deadheat Racing Limited (operating licence no 040247-N-320138-007 and 040247-A-320139-005) effective immediately as it conducts a review under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005.

Suspension Follows Regulatory Concerns

The regulatory review and subsequent suspension stem from concerns that the operator’s activities have been carried out in a manner inconsistent with the licensing objectives and not in accordance with licence conditions. The regulator has also raised questions about whether the licensee remains suitable to carry on the licensed activities.

Suspected social responsibility and anti-money laundering failings were key considerations in the Commission’s decision to suspend the licence.

Consumer Protection Expectations

The Gambling Commission has made clear its expectations that during the suspension period, Deadheat Racing Limited must focus on treating consumers fairly and keeping them fully informed of any developments that impact them.
