Game studio Octoplay has appointed Conor Leavey as Chief Product Officer, bringing 13 years of Flutter Entertainment experience to lead product vision as the company scales operations. Leavey, who spent over a decade with Paddy Power and most recently served as Managing Director at PokerStars Casino, joins full-time after advising Octoplay since September.
Industry Veteran Joins Growing Studio
Leavey’s appointment comes as Octoplay announces broader leadership changes to support its next growth phase. The executive’s extensive background with Flutter Entertainment brands positions him to guide product development across Octoplay’s expanding portfolio of over 200 games.
During his 13-year tenure with Flutter brands, Leavey held various roles at Paddy Power before advancing to Managing Director at PokerStars Casino, where he led product development for one of the world’s largest online casino operations. His experience spans player engagement, casino product management, and regulated market expansion.
Leadership Restructuring for Scale
The CPO appointment is part of a broader leadership evolution at Octoplay, which launched in October 2022 and has achieved rapid regulated market expansion. The company now holds 15 active licences across Europe and North America, with consistent quarterly growth into new jurisdictions.
Ralitsa Georgieva, who has driven Octoplay’s commercial expansion from initial European partnerships to US market entry, will assume the CEO role starting in March. Jack Bailey joins as Commercial Director to accelerate global growth, while Martina Borg Stevens advances to Chief Legal Officer and Nicola Vella to Chief Finance Officer.
Product-Driven Growth Strategy
Leavey’s appointment signals Octoplay’s focus on product innovation as the company scales operations beyond its startup phase. With tier-one operator partnerships and over 200 games in its portfolio, the studio is positioning for continued expansion across regulated markets.
The leadership team brings combined expertise in commercial operations, product development, legal compliance, and financial management to support Octoplay’s ambitions across multiple jurisdictions. Leavey’s experience launching casino products in heavily regulated markets will be instrumental as the company enters new territories.
