Affiliate Draft grand finale in Dublin

Flutter Entertainment concluded the 2025 Affiliate Draft grand finale in Dublin this month, bringing together startup founders from the US, UK, and Ireland for a two-day pitch event focused on affiliate innovation and partnership opportunities.

The program connected six finalist companies with Flutter teams and investors, culminating in the selection of three startups for formal onboarding: Verdict MMA, Tipman Group, and Betmate. Additional finalists included Bet Caddy, HotTakes, and FantasySpin.

Strategic Focus on Market Innovation

The Affiliate Draft serves as both a recruitment and market intelligence initiative for Flutter, designed to identify emerging trends in affiliate marketing and accelerate testing of new products and platforms. The program addresses identified gaps in current affiliate strategies, including over-reliance on paid advertising channels and limited differentiation in mature markets.

Flutter’s analysis highlights a strategic shift in affiliate marketing priorities, with emphasis moving from customer acquisition to retention and share of wallet growth. Regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions are driving increased focus on free-to-play engagement models as traditional welcome bonus structures face restrictions.

Partnership and Collaboration

The program operates through partnerships with Discerning Capital, Bettingstartups.com, Bettor Capital, iGaming Ideas, Full Court Capital, and Nava. These organizations support outreach, evaluation, and decision-making processes throughout the selection cycle.

Flutter maintains ongoing relationships with the full cohort of finalists beyond the initial selection, exploring additional collaboration opportunities as startups develop their offerings.

Industry Direction

Flutter’s research indicates that successful next-generation affiliates will combine AI-driven personalization with community engagement strategies, moving beyond traditional acquisition-focused models toward habituation and long-term user value creation.

The Affiliate Draft represents Flutter’s continued investment in identifying and partnering with innovative startups through its AlphaHub platform, which connects early-stage companies with resources and market access within Flutter’s operating brands.

Flutter Entertainment operates a portfolio of sports betting and gaming brands across multiple regulated markets, including FanDuel in the United States and Sky Betting & Gaming in the UK.
