Renowned iGaming supplier Playson has announced the appointment of Ben Wood as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Wood will continue to drive the company’s commercial success, building on its ongoing track record of strong performance, which has elevated Playson to the No. 1 Supplier in the Eilers & Krejcik / Fantini European rankings. Ben brings over 15 years of experience in the iGaming sector, with an impressive track record across commercial strategy, content delivery, and partnership management in regulated markets. His previous positions include VP iGaming Content Delivery and Managing Director IOM at Bally’s Interactive, as well as over a decade at Microgaming. Here, he advanced through key commercial leadership roles, establishing strategic relationships with some of the biggest operators in the industry, with a heavy focus on regulated markets throughout Europe. Before joining Playson, Ben provided commercial consulting services to Blueprint Gaming and has led teams building new market ventures for established operators, melding their existing operational capabilities with new platforms and service providers. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong reputation for securing multijurisdictional strategic partnerships and leading globally distributed, results-driven commercial and product teams. At Playson, Ben will oversee the company’s global commercial strategy, expanding its B2B footprint, fostering key operator relationships, and accelerating the delivery of its high-quality slot portfolio to new markets. His appointment marks an exciting next step in Playson’s mission to deliver #MORE — more entertainment, more innovation, and more value to partners and players worldwide. Ben Wood, CCO at Playson, comments on his new role:
“Playson has built a fantastic reputation for quality, creativity, and reliability in iGaming. Their must-have content has stamped their own indelible mark in established and new markets alike. I’m thrilled to join the team at such an exciting time and look forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth across Europe and globally.”
Vsevolod Lapin, Deputy CEO of Playson, added:
“Ben’s experience and vision make him an excellent addition to our leadership team. His understanding of regulated markets and commercial strategy will be invaluable as we continue to expand and strengthen our relationships with key partners globally.”
Alex Ivshin, Strategic Advisor at Playson, adds:
“Ben’s appointment marks an important step in Playson’s journey to solidify its standing among the top five suppliers globally. His expertise in regulated markets — particularly the UK, Spain, and Ontario — will help us amplify our reach and deliver even greater value to partners.”
This transition follows the departure of Tamas Kusztos, who leaves his role as CCO to pursue new personal goals. Tamas will continue to collaborate with Playson, ensuring a smooth handover and ongoing alignment with the company’s long-term ambitions.
