BC.Game has named Kar Kheng Giam as CEO

BC.Game has named Kar Kheng Giam as its new Chief Executive Officer, bringing in a veteran with more than 30 years of leadership experience across gaming, technology and consumer sectors to head its regulated market expansion.

Background and Career

Giam, known across the industry as KK, has built his career across Asia-Pacific, the United States and Europe. He co-founded mobile gaming companies Topgame and Tinymobi, both of which produced social and casino-style titles, and has previously held CEO roles at multiple organisations. Earlier in his career, he held regional leadership positions at Nabisco across Asia.

His most recent role was Vice President International at Coyote Bioscience, where he was responsible for driving global expansion efforts. The appointment marks a return to the gaming sector for an executive whose foundational experience sits in both technology and regulated consumer businesses.

Mandate at BC.Game

In his new position, KK will lead BC.Game’s strategic direction, oversee operations and manage financial performance. His brief also covers accelerating global growth, reinforcing regulatory compliance and advancing product development within the crypto gaming space.

Katarína Polách Klčovská Named CEO of SYNOT Group

“BC.Game has built a strong global community by combining innovative technology with engaging entertainment experiences. I’m excited to take on this role at a time of significant opportunity for the business. With increasing demand for transparent, user-focused platforms and growing adoption of crypto in online gaming, we are well positioned to scale globally. My focus will be on strengthening our presence in regulated markets, enhancing the platform experience and continuing to build trust with our users.” — Kar Kheng Giam, CEO, BC.Game

The responsibilities assigned to KK cover both internal performance metrics and external positioning, with regulatory compliance named as a priority alongside growth. That framing sets the tone for what the company is asking him to deliver in the near term.

Regulated Market Strategy

BC.Game’s appointment of an externally recruited CEO with a conventional corporate track record reflects a deliberate change in strategic posture. The company was founded in 2017 as a crypto-native platform and has since grown to more than 9 million registered users, operating a casino and sportsbook across 30-plus languages.

It currently holds licences in Anjouan, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico and Tanzania. The inclusion of Mexico in that list is notable given the country’s regulatory activity around gambling tax, with the appointment framing BC.Game’s ambitions as extending well beyond those five jurisdictions. The company’s stated goal is to grow across regulated markets worldwide, not to consolidate within the current licence footprint.

This direction follows a pattern seen elsewhere in the crypto gambling sector, where operators that built scale under offshore licensing frameworks have begun pursuing formal regulated status as compliance expectations tighten globally. Yolo Group’s pivot to fully regulated operations under its unified brand is one of the cleaner examples of that shift in execution, though BC.Game’s licensing profile remains at an earlier stage of maturity.

The crypto gaming segment has also grown more competitive, with platforms such as Stake scaling to $4.7bn in GGR on the back of heavy infrastructure investment and aggressive brand-building. BC.Game’s decision to bring in an experienced external CEO, rather than promote from within its co-founder-led structure, suggests the company is preparing for the kind of institutional relationships that regulated markets require.

What Comes Next

KK’s mandate covers innovation as well as compliance, meaning product development is expected to remain active alongside the regulatory push. BC.Game has been investing in its BC Token ecosystem, including a Zero House Edge mechanism launched earlier this year that allows 100% settlement-based returns on certain BC Originals titles. Whether that product direction continues under new leadership or pivots toward more conventional regulated-market offerings will be a signal worth tracking.

The company has given no timeline for its next set of licence applications, and no target markets have been named beyond the existing five. KK’s first public articulation of priorities will likely come at one of the major industry events in the second half of 2026.
