Kaizen Gaming has acquired GameplAI, an AI-driven sports trading and analytics company, with plans to integrate its technology directly into Betano, Kaizen’s flagship iGaming platform.
The deal, announced on 10 March 2026, brings GameplAI’s proprietary algorithms and data science capabilities in-house, targeting improvements across sports trading operations, player markets and performance analytics. Financial terms were not disclosed.
What GameplAI Brings
GameplAI was founded by Graham Savage and Nikos Volakis and specialises in AI-powered trading tools built specifically for sportsbook operators. Under the acquisition terms, GameplAI will retain its B2B business line and continue serving existing and future external partners independently of the Kaizen integration. The founding team stays on to lead operations.
The structure gives Kaizen proprietary access to the technology while keeping GameplAI commercially active in the wider B2B market — a dual-track model that preserves the company’s market positioning and revenue base.
Kaizen’s Sportsbook Ambitions
Kaizen Gaming, headquartered in Athens and operating Betano across multiple regulated markets, has flagged automation and risk management tooling as priorities for its sportsbook development. The GameplAI acquisition is positioned as an acceleration of that agenda rather than a foundational shift in direction.
The deal follows a pattern of operators internalising specialised AI and data capabilities as sportsbook competition tightens — particularly in markets where margin management and trading accuracy have become differentiating factors. Betano competes in several high-regulation European markets where operator costs have risen sharply following a wave of tax increases across the continent.
Tekkorp Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to Kaizen Gaming on the transaction. Wiggin LLP served as legal advisor.

Joining forces with Kaizen Gaming marks an exciting new chapter for GameplAI. From the outset, it was clear that our teams share a deep passion for innovation, precision and pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve in sports trading. With Kaizen Gaming’s scale and strategic vision, we are confident that our combined capabilities will unlock new levels of automation, accuracy and performance.

Looking Ahead
No integration timeline or commercial targets were disclosed. Kaizen Gaming has not indicated whether the GameplAI B2B client base will be maintained under separate commercial terms following full integration, or whether access to the technology will eventually be restricted to Betano exclusively. That question becomes relevant if GameplAI’s external partners include direct Betano competitors — a dynamic worth monitoring as the deal progresses. The acquisition follows a broader industry pattern of operators prioritising proprietary data science infrastructure over third-party reliance.
