Euro Games Technology has opened a Netherlands office in 's-Hertogenbosch, bringing local land-based and iGaming support to the Dutch market.

Euro Games Technology (EGT) has opened a dedicated Netherlands office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, formalising a local presence the Bulgarian gaming manufacturer has been building across both land-based and iGaming segments in the Dutch market.

Den Bosch Launch Event

The office, located at Europalaan 28 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), opened on 13 May 2026. The launch event drew representatives of local operators, partner companies, and industry professionals, who toured a showroom displaying EGT’s land-based and iGaming products available on the Dutch market.

Yuliana Ilieva, Director of EGT Netherlands, cited the city’s commercial positioning as a factor in the choice of location.

“The opening of the office in Den Bosch – the capital of North Brabant province and a strategic location in the country – is an important step for EGT and clearly states the company’s long-term commitment to this market, where we already have a strong footprint in both the land-based and online segments. Our new local presence will allow us to be closer to our current and future clients and to develop our partnerships here even more effectively. Despite the challenges of the highly regulated Dutch gaming environment, we are confident that our personal approach to each customer, combined with our products, developed specifically for the Netherlands, will contribute to the growth and success of both our and operators’ business.”

Nadia Popova, Chief Revenue Officer and VP Sales & Marketing at EGT, also attended. She pointed to the Dutch market as a priority for sustained investment.

“We see enormous potential in the Dutch market and are ready to invest in our sustainable development here. I believe that our new office, with its strategic location and talented and dedicated team, will play a key role in achieving our main goals of expanding and solidifying EGT’s positions as a preferred gaming provider in the country.”

Online Presence Preceded the Office

EGT Digital, the group’s iGaming subsidiary, was already active in the Dutch market ahead of the office opening. The company went live with several local operators in 2025, including StarCasino, which launched EGT’s flagship jackpot products for Dutch players. Those products include Bell Link, Clover Chance, High Cash, and Single Progressive Jackpot. EGT operates across more than 100 markets globally, with the Netherlands representing one of its more developed European positions in both distribution channels.

The office at Den Bosch extends that foundation with dedicated account management and client support on the ground, a setup Ilieva described as central to developing existing partnerships more effectively. Den Bosch serves as the capital of North Brabant province and sits at a central logistics and commercial intersection in the Netherlands, which Ilieva identified as the basis for the location decision.

A Market Under Regulatory and Fiscal Pressure

The Netherlands presents a more complicated operating environment than it did at market launch. KSA data shows legal GGR channelisation fell to approximately 49% in the first half of 2025, dropping below the 51% recorded at end-2024. That marked the first time unlicensed operators generated more gross gaming revenue than licensed ones since the market opened in October 2021.

Operators and their B2B partners face a compounding tax environment. The gambling tax rate rose from 30.5% to 34.2% in January 2025 and is set to increase again to 37.8% in 2026, contributing to the licensed sector’s declining share of total GGR. The KSA has also signalled heightened scrutiny of gambling normalisation in advertising and social settings, adding a further compliance dimension for suppliers operating in the market.

Ilieva acknowledged the regulatory environment directly in her remarks, framing the company’s response around product localisation and a client-specific commercial approach rather than a volume-led strategy.

The timing of the office opening also coincides with a broader market transition. The earliest KSA remote gambling licences, issued in September 2021, are due to expire in September 2026. With operators navigating renewal under updated KSA policy rules, local supplier relationships and on-the-ground compliance support are likely to carry greater commercial weight across the next 12 months. EGT’s new Den Bosch base positions the company to serve that need as the market enters its first renewal cycle.
