Hard Rock Digital launches Hard Rock Bet sportsbook and casino in Ontario, its first market outside the US, on an AGCO licence with 3,000+ games.

Hard Rock Digital has launched its Hard Rock Bet sportsbook and online casino in Ontario, the company’s first market outside the United States and its entry into Canada’s largest regulated iGaming market.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) issued Hard Rock Digital Canada Ltd. an internet gaming operator registration on 14 May 2026, valid until 13 May 2027. Operators in the province also hold an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO), the subsidiary that runs Ontario’s regulated online market. The launch extends a Hard Rock Bet casino product that already runs in New Jersey and Michigan.

What Ontario players get at launch

Hard Rock Bet enters Ontario with more than 3,000 online casino games, spanning slots, table games and live dealer content from third-party providers, alongside a mobile sportsbook. On the betting side, the platform carries parlay wagering across international sports. Players can also earn Unity loyalty points through online play and redeem them for digital rewards in the Hard Rock Bet reward store, and the operator is running a launch promotion it calls Legendary Reward Drops.

New casino customers in Ontario can claim a welcome offer of 200 bonus spins on the Pragmatic Play slot Sweet Bonanza with a first deposit of C$10 or more, plus up to C$1,000 back as a casino bonus on net cash losses from their first 24 hours of slot play. The offer is subject to terms and conditions. Hard Rock Bet is available on iOS, Android and desktop at HardRockBet.ca.

A first step outside the US

Ontario is the first market Hard Rock Digital has entered outside the United States, where it operates sportsbook and casino products across several states. Marlon Goldstein, Executive Managing Director and CEO of Hard Rock Digital, tied the move to the company’s wider international plans.

“Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we’ve brought our platform to an audience outside the U.S. We’re excited to introduce Ontario players to a premium entertainment experience that reflects the energy and service synonymous with the Hard Rock brand. And by investing in local talent, local partnerships, and localized customer support, we’re creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players.”

A crowded market

Ontario opened its regulated online gambling market in April 2022 and has since become the reference point for iGaming regulation in Canada. Hard Rock Bet joins a field already occupied by FanDuel, DraftKings, Bet365, BetMGM and other established operators competing for players across sports betting and online casino. Rival groups have moved to build Canadian scale in the past year, including Betsson, which acquired Rhino Entertainment Canada for €64.5m to strengthen its position in the market.

The launch also lands as regulated iGaming spreads to other Canadian provinces. Alberta opened its own competitive online market on 13 July 2026, with 28 operators registered for launch, giving national brands a second regulated jurisdiction to target after Ontario.

For Hard Rock Digital, Ontario is a test of whether a US-built platform and a physical hospitality brand translate into a market where the largest online operators already hold entrenched positions. The company has signalled that Ontario is a first move rather than a one-off, framing the province as the entry point for wider international expansion. How quickly Hard Rock Bet takes share from the incumbents, and whether it follows Ontario with launches in Alberta or further afield, will show how serious that ambition is.
