The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has handed Serbian player Stefan Milićević a 24-year match-fixing ban and a $70,000 fine for fixing six matches and attempting to fix six more between 2022 and 2024. The ITIA announced the sanction on 15 October 2026. The suspension runs from 9 October 2026 to 8 October 2050.
Charges behind the match-fixing ban
Milićević, 29, was charged with fixing six matches, five of them in events where he was competing, and attempting to fix six further matches, according to the ITIA announcement. All of the conduct took place between 2022 and 2024.
The ITIA also found that Milićević recruited, or tried to recruit, several professional players into a corrupt network during the same period. It said this led to other players fixing matches.
His career-high singles ranking was world number 1338, reached in August 2014.
How the ITIA case ran
The ITIA investigated the case in 2026. Milićević did not respond to seven attempts by the agency to contact him through multiple channels. On 24 September 2026 the ITIA issued him a Notice of Major Offense, and he did not reply to that either.
Because he did not respond to the charges, the sanction was imposed as a deemed sanction under the ITIA rules and Sanctioning Guidelines. It took effect on 9 October 2026. The ITIA lists the case on its sanctions page.
Next steps
The suspension ends on 8 October 2050. Until then Milićević cannot play in, coach at or attend events organised or sanctioned by the ATP, the WTA, the Grand Slams or any national association, the ITIA said.
