The gaming industry's most significant annual conference returns to Portugal's capital with 20% year-on-year growth and expanded venue space

LISBON, Portugal – September 16, 2025 – SBC Summit officially begins today at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena, welcoming a record 30,000 delegates from over 130 countries for three days of business networking, conference sessions, and industry exhibitions.

The 2025 edition marks the event’s largest gathering to date, representing a 20% increase in attendance compared to the previous year. The summit now spans 135,000 square meters of venue space, accommodating 700 exhibitors across themed zones designed to serve the diverse gaming and betting industry verticals.

"SBC Summit 2025 wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of the industry," said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. "To our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees, thank you for helping us bring to life what has truly become the greatest show in gaming."

Global Reach and Industry Focus

This year’s summit features the most international scope in the event’s history, with dedicated stages for Global and Emerging Markets alongside regionally focused networking spaces highlighting opportunities across Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

The conference agenda includes keynote presentations from Gary Vaynerchuk and Randi Zuckerberg, complemented by appearances from sporting icons and the introduction of Tech Academies offering hands-on learning sessions covering AI, blockchain, gamification, and marketing strategies.

Exhibition and Networking

The expo floor features themed zones to help delegates navigate the 700 exhibiting companies, including established operators such as 1xBet, Altenar, Amusnet, Clever Advertising, Digitain, EveryMatrix, GR8 Tech, iGP, Kaizen Gaming, Optimove, PayFuture, Smartsoft, Soft2Bet, and others. Interactive showcases and nine Food Festival areas offering more than 40 dining options create additional networking opportunities throughout the venue.

The summit includes multiple specialized events, including the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit, designed to address specific sector needs within the broader gaming industry framework.

Evening Entertainment and Charitable Initiatives

The event schedule includes evening networking sessions, beginning with the Opening Party featuring Grammy-winning DJ Imanbek and festival performer Joel Corry. Thursday’s closing celebration, INFINITY Lisbon, will showcase headliners Alok and Timmy Trumpet at the MEO Arena.

A highlight of the week includes the Legends Charity Game, where 40 global football legends including Kaká, Figo, Zanetti, Cafu, and Hagi will compete to raise over €1,000,000 for charitable causes.

Economic Impact and Support

The 2024 edition of SBC Summit brought an estimated €100 million in indirect benefits to Lisbon, prompting appearances from Lisbon Mayor Carlos Moedas, Portuguese Minister of Economy Pedro Reis, and Secretary of State for Tourism Pedro Machado. Portugal’s recognition as winner of three World Travel Awards in 2024 – including Europe’s Leading City Destination and World’s Leading Heritage City Destination – provides an ideal backdrop for the international gathering.

Access Options

SBC Summit offers multiple pass types to accommodate different industry needs, from VIP Event Passes providing full access to conferences, networking areas, and evening events, to Expo Only passes for those seeking to explore potential partnerships within the gaming sector.

The summit continues through Wednesday, September 18, 2025, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
