Gibraltar-based online gaming operator to pay penalty following investigation into social responsibility and anti-money laundering breaches

LONDON, September 17, 2025 — The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has announced a regulatory settlement with Maple International Ventures Limited, requiring the Gibraltar-based online gaming operator to pay £360,000 following compliance failures identified during a regulatory assessment.

The investigation revealed significant breaches in social responsibility protocols and anti-money laundering procedures at the company, which operates the Lottomart.com casino and betting platform under UKGC license 051833-R-329042-007.

All settlement funds will be directed toward socially responsible causes as part of the Commission’s commitment to supporting gambling harm prevention initiatives.

John Pierce, Commission Director of Enforcement, stated: "The cornerstone of every licensed business must be the proper implementation of effective policies and procedures aimed at making gambling crime free and safer. This operator is now being held to account for anti-money laundering and social responsibility failings uncovered during a compliance assessment."

Pierce added: "We would advise all operators to read the Maple International Ventures public statement and consider whether their own policies and procedures are both effective and are being successfully implemented."

The regulatory action highlights the UKGC’s continued focus on maintaining industry standards and protecting consumers within the regulated British gambling market. The settlement comes as part of the Commission’s ongoing compliance monitoring program designed to ensure operators meet their licensing obligations.

Maple International Ventures Limited, established in 2018 and headquartered at Suite 651 Europort in Gibraltar, holds dual licensing from both the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and the UK Gambling Commission. The company’s flagship Lottomart brand offers online casino games and sports betting services to customers in regulated markets.

The UKGC’s public statement detailing the specific compliance failures and remedial actions taken by Maple International Ventures Limited is available on the Commission’s official register. The document serves as guidance for other operators to review their own compliance frameworks.

This latest enforcement action demonstrates the UK regulator’s commitment to maintaining high standards across the online gaming sector and ensuring operators fulfill their responsibilities to prevent money laundering and protect vulnerable consumers.

Industry stakeholders are encouraged to review the published public statement to assess their own compliance protocols against current regulatory expectations.
