The acquisition, completed with funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, positions Aristocrat to strengthen its footprint in the regulated online gaming sector. Financial terms remain undisclosed, and completion is pending regulatory approvals.
Awager Brings Live Streaming Capabilities to Aristocrat Portfolio
Based in Israel, Awager has built a strong reputation in live slot streaming—a digital segment that blends traditional casino gaming experiences with real-time online engagement. The company enables gaming operators to deliver live casino experiences through advanced streaming technology and content integration from multiple providers.
With approximately 75 employees across Israel, Eastern Europe, and the United States, Awager has established itself as a significant player in the US live streaming market. Aristocrat plans to integrate its proprietary gaming content into Awager’s platform following the acquisition.
Strategic Move Aligns with Digital Growth Objectives
The acquisition supports Aristocrat’s broader ambitions in interactive and real-money gaming. This deal follows several strategic moves in recent months, including a six-year partnership with the Michigan Lottery in June and a collaboration with the Plaza Hotel & Casino in September.
Leadership changes accompanied these developments, with Dylan Slaney appointed as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive and Michael Daly named Senior Vice President of Business Development.
UBS served as advisor to Aristocrat during the transaction, while Moelis & Company advised Oaktree. The deal is expected to close within the coming months, subject to regulatory clearances.
