Entain plc (LSE: ENT) has announced the appointment of Sheila Bangalore as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.
The appointment comes just over three weeks after Ricky Sandler left the business following the closure of his New York-based hedge fund Eminence Capital, bringing Entain’s board back up to a team of 11.
Bangalore brings over 20 years of experience in the global gaming, hospitality, and technology sectors. She has held executive roles at Bally Technologies Inc., Aristocrat Technologies Inc., and MP Materials Corporation, and has recently served on the board of Games Global Limited. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Alliance Entertainment Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: AENT).
She brings deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional regulation, capital markets, and governance, as well as an established network across the gaming ecosystem. Bangalore also brings legal experience from her early career at the United States Courts and the United States Senate. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of advisory firm Artemis Endeavors.
Entain Chair Pierre Bouchut welcomed the appointment, saying: “On behalf of the board, I am delighted to welcome Sheila to Entain. Sheila has a strong track record of executive and non-executive experience across multiple sectors, particularly in the gaming industry. I am confident that the Board will benefit from Sheila’s judgement, rigour and breadth of expertise as Entain continues to execute its strategy.”
Following the appointment, Entain’s board comprises 11 members, including Chair Pierre Bouchut, Chief Executive Officer Stella David, and Chief Financial Officer Mike Snape, along with eight independent non-executive directors.
