Genius Sports is supplying the NFL’s official real-time data to NFL Gametime on X, a dedicated American football feed on the social platform, the NYSE-listed company announced on 15 October 2026. The Genius Sports NFL data covers live scores and play-by-play statistics.
The feed launched with the 2026 NFL season and sits next to the For You and Following tabs on X. It combines live scores, clips, news and creator commentary in one place. Financial terms were not disclosed.
What the feed carries
Under the arrangement, NFL Gametime on X shows official scores and play-by-play updates as games are played, with player, team and game statistics placed alongside clips and posts. According to Genius Sports, the feed builds on a partnership between X and the NFL that dates back more than 10 years.
The announcement covers fan-facing data and advertising. It makes no reference to betting odds or sportsbook content on the feed.
X is pitching the feed to brands as live inventory around NFL games. Monique Pintarelli, Head of Global Advertising at X, said in the announcement:
NFL Gametime on X is where the game and the conversation meet. Providing fans with official, real-time data together keeps fans closer to every play and gives brands a live environment to be part of the biggest moments in sports.

Elsewhere in social media advertising, YouTube opens its Masthead to online gambling ads on 21 October.
Genius Sports’ NFL rights
Genius Sports has worked with the NFL since 2021. In June 2025 the league extended the partnership through the end of the 2029 season. The deal keeps Genius as the exclusive distributor of the NFL’s real-time official play-by-play statistics, Next Gen Stats (NGS) data and the official betting data feed to media companies and sportsbooks worldwide.
The same extension made Genius the sole supplier of official low-latency NFL live games to sportsbooks outside the US and gave it exclusive rights to sell the league’s in-game advertising inventory.
The X feed adds a social media outlet to that distribution. Genius also runs its own media business, with properties including Covers.com, and in May 2026 it completed the $1.2bn acquisition of Legend.
Nothing rivals the NFL for scale, excitement and spectacle, with X becoming a crucial platform for fans to follow the biggest league in US sports. Our technology is central to the NFL ecosystem, and we’re excited to expand our reach by helping power NFL Gametime on X, delivering real-time insights, scores and updates to underpin how millions of fans follow every down.
