Brightstar Lottery PLC has won five-year exclusive rights to develop and distribute Pan Am lottery games worldwide, covering instant tickets, draw-based games and iLottery, under an agreement with Pan American World Airways, LLC (Pan Am). The NYSE-listed supplier announced the deal on 13 October 2026; it also covers Pan Am travel prizes.
The Pan Am lottery games deal
Under the agreement, Brightstar holds the rights to the Pan Am brand across retail and digital lottery formats, according to Brightstar’s announcement. The company did not disclose the financial terms.
The second part of the deal sits outside game design. Brightstar plans to use Pan Am’s luxury trip planning and concierge services to supply travel packages as prizes, including for winners of second-chance promotions, the draws lotteries run for players holding non-winning tickets.
Through this partnership, players will have access to engaging lottery offerings and unique second-chance promotions inspired by the Pan Am brand, including customized travel packages, VIP access, and white-glove journeys tailored to a range of destinations and budgets.

Pan Am’s travel business
Pan Am was founded in 1927 and flew as one of the best-known international airlines until it ceased operations in 1991. The brand now belongs to a group of four owners, including Carter, who run charter and luxury travel products under it, according to the Orange County Business Journal.
Their first trip, a 13-day itinerary on a Pan Am-branded Boeing 757 carrying 50 passengers to destinations including Bermuda, Lisbon and London, sold tickets at $59,950 to $65,500, the newspaper reported in December 2025. The owners have since folded that business into Pan Am Journeys.
Brightstar’s licensing push
Pan Am is the second brand Brightstar has signed on a five-year exclusive basis in 12 months. In October 2025 it agreed a similar deal with greeting card maker Avanti Press, covering instant, draw-based and eInstant games.
Brightstar has traded under its current name since July 2025, when the former International Game Technology PLC sold its Gaming & Digital business to funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management for about $4bn in net cash proceeds, according to its filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The company now focuses only on lottery. It says it serves nearly 90 lottery customers on six continents, is the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 US lottery jurisdictions and employs about 6,000 people.
Next steps
Brightstar has not named the first lotteries that will sell Pan Am-themed games or a launch date. More supplier deals are listed in TGE’s announcements section.
