Swedish sportsbook DBET has appointed Jonas Dahlquist, one of Sweden’s most recognised sports broadcasters, as content producer, and launched a new weekly football podcast built around the Allsvenskan season.
Dahlquist began his broadcasting career in 2002 and has covered Swedish top-flight football, major international championships and leading European leagues across his career. At DBET he will oversee original programming, social content and digital formats aimed at Swedish sports fans.
All in Allsvenskan
The podcast, titled All in Allsvenskan, is co-hosted by Dahlquist alongside former Sweden internationals Anders Svensson and Nils-Eric Johansson. Svensson holds the men’s record for Sweden appearances with 148 caps and played club football for Elfsborg and Southampton. Johansson captained AIK across more than 370 appearances and had early career stints in England with Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City.
Each 50-minute episode covers the latest Allsvenskan round, the key moments from the weekend’s action and the stories building for the week ahead. Most episodes include a guest from inside the Swedish game. New episodes drop every Wednesday at 15:00 CET on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Podplay, with the first episode releasing on 4 March 2026.
It was fantastic playing in Allsvenskan for so many years, winning the title twice. The league stays with you even after you stop playing, and I’m really happy to do this with Jonas. I know it will be a lot of fun and full of everything that happens around the game.
Anders Svensson, former Sweden international
It seems that people just can’t get enough of Allsvenskan, and the audiences and general interest have exploded in recent years. We really want to give our opinion on the league Sweden cares most about, and hopefully the viewers and listeners feel the same.

Platform growth
DBET launched its platform in August 2024 and operates more than 530 retail terminals alongside its online service. The content push reflects a broader strategy to build brand presence in the Swedish market through editorial and media formats rather than conventional advertising alone. Sweden’s regulated online gambling sector has faced increasing tax pressure, with Q3 2025 growth slowing to 0.5% across the market as operators absorbed higher levies. Newer entrants like DBET are competing for market share in an environment where established operators are reporting revenue declines under the same conditions.
The Nordic regulatory environment has grown more demanding across the region, making brand positioning and responsible operator credentials an increasingly important differentiator for sportsbooks competing in licensed Scandinavian markets.
