Greentube acquires Kingsbet CZ in Czech B2C entry

Greentube acquires 100% of Czech operator Kingsbet CZ, gaining a domestic licence in the €2.7bn Czech regulated gambling market.

Greentube has acquired 100% of Kingsbet CZ, a licensed Czech sportsbook and casino operator, giving the NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division its first direct B2C foothold in the Czech Republic. No financial terms were disclosed.

Czech Market

The Czech Republic generated CZK 68bn (€2.7bn) in GGR in 2025, according to the Czech Ministry of Finance. Online gambling accounted for 59.2% of that total — a share that reflects consistent structural migration from land-based to digital channels in one of Central Europe’s more established regulated frameworks.

Operators serving Czech players are required to hold a domestic licence from the Ministry of Finance. That requirement has made locally licensed businesses valuable acquisition targets for operators seeking to enter the market without the lead time of a greenfield application and build-out.

Strategic Rationale

Greentube’s core business is B2B. As the digital division of Austrian gaming manufacturer NOVOMATIC, it supplies video slots, table games, server-based gaming, social casino products, and omnichannel technology to operators across multiple markets. The Czech acquisition adds a B2C layer — an operational business with a live player base, a domestic licence, and a team with market-specific knowledge.

The combination allows Greentube to deploy its own content and platform technology into a market where it now controls the operator relationship directly. That vertical integration — content supplier and licensed operator in the same market — is a structure some groups have found commercially useful in regulated European jurisdictions.

The Kingsbet CZ deal extends that footprint into Czech online gambling under the Greentube brand.

About Kingsbet CZ

Kingsbet CZ operates as an established Czech online sportsbook and casino. The company brings local operational expertise and a Czech player base to the combined group. Its CEO, David Vaněk, will continue with the business following completion.

Executive Statements

Ronald van den Brink, CCO of Greentube, said:

“Entering the Czech market is a natural step in our long-term growth strategy. The Czech Republic stands among the most advanced and well-regulated gaming markets in Europe. By joining forces with Kingsbet, we are gaining a strong local team that will support our expansion.”

David Vaněk, CEO of Kingsbet, said:

“We are excited to join the Greentube group. This partnership brings us growth and investment opportunities, and access to advanced technology and globally renowned game studios. It will allow us to deliver an even stronger player experience and continue growing in the Czech Republic.”

Regulatory Conditions

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals. No timeline for completion has been confirmed.

Regional Context

Targeted domestic acquisitions have become a recurring feature of Central and Eastern European online gambling consolidation.Fortuna Entertainment’s acquisition of a majority stake in Montenegro’s LOB Group followed similar logic — an operator building regulated market positions through local ownership rather than greenfield entry. The pattern reflects an industry preference for speed and regulatory certainty in jurisdictions with active licensing enforcement.

Europe’s Gross Gambling Revenue Reaches €123.4 Billion in 2024, Market Forecasts Point to Continued Growth

The Czech Republic, at €2.7bn in 2025, represents one of the larger mid-tier online markets in the region. Whether Greentube pursues further B2C acquisitions in adjacent markets under a similar model remains to be seen following this initial step.
